What chemicals should I use in my pool?

I bought an Intek Easy Set 15X48 pool, holds about 3700gal of water. I've had it set up for about a month without the pump going because it was too cold to use it anyway. I was wondering what chemicals/amounts I should use? I have a 1yr old Boxer that will be swimming in it occasionally so I want to use the minimum amount of chemicals possible. I have a lady that wants to sell me "Poolchem" SuperClear Algaecide and OxyClear Shock Treatment....is that what I need? She doesn't know either because she bought it for her hot tub and realized she bought the wrong stuff.
