Why wont anyone hire me?

I really need a job, ive been searching and applying for the past year & have had absolutely no luck. I don't get it. Im 16 years old soon to be 17, which is the age which most people start working, and i have some experience, so many of my friends have jobs, they are all my age too, but yet i cant even get a call back for my applications. I honestly have applied everywhere, McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, Dunkin' Donuts, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Win-dixie, Taco Bell, Wendys, etc. I have lost so much faith. It shouldnt be this hard to get a part time job at one of these places, seeing as how they all are STILL hiring. My applications are good too, i give acceptable refrences, good work experience, always spell check, write neatly, and give good descriptions on everything. Im just so frustrated.. What is going on??
